Eqlim solves shortcomings in risk intelligence data, essential to global supply chains, by building software that processes open source content into realtime information. Eqlim is looking for researchers who will work on energy, commodities, supply chain and infrastructure-related projects, who are able to thrive in a fast-paced atmosphere, and who can manage complexity with high degree of autonomy.
Candidates must have excellent analytical skills and the ability to identify and mobilize intelligence from multiple disciplines and sources.
In this position you will:
- Conduct extensive online research and translate into presentable and standardized material.
- Work fluidly between different modes of visual and written communication, and database structures.
- Work within a team of researchers, analysts, programmers, economists, geospatial engineers, and designers.
- Provide a clear perspective and point of view.
Requirements:
- B.A. or M.A. in Political and Social Sciences, Economics, International Affairs, Middle Eastern Studies, Media Studies, or related fields.
- Excellent communication skills and high proficiency in English (proficiency in other languages is a plus).
- Basic computer literacy.
- Experience with research tools both online and analogue.
- 2+ years experience in research work is a plus.
Internship Details
- Internship can range between 2 to 3 months, depending on the tasks and the availability of candidates.
- Candidates will be expected to work between 15 to 20 hours a week (flexible).
- Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
- Internship is unremunerated.
